Following is a list of home pages and personal gallery sites of some of the best speculative fiction artists out there. You've seen the works of these artists on the covers of bestselling novels, as well as on calendars, tee shirts, posters, and more.

Brom, Gerlad  Best known for his darkly erotic, gothic images

Cabral, Ciruelo  Best known for his dragons, this prolific artist has produced covers for Stephen Brust, Douglas Niles, R.A. Salvatore and others, along with album covers for Steve Vai, cards for Magic: The Gathering, and numerous independent projects

Craft, Kinuko  Highly detailed and intricate fantasy art. Best known for her covers on the works of Patricia McKillip

Dixon, Don  This artists' science fiction and space art has been featured on the covers of such prestigious magazines as Omni and The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. He has done numerous books covers, and even delved into Hollywood, providing concept art for the Roger Corman film Battle Beyond the Stars

Elmore, Larry  House artist for first TSR and now Wizards of the Coast. Probably best known for his work on the Dragonlance series

Frazetta, Frank  Along with Boris Vallejo, probably the most recognizable fantasy artist. His work has appeared on book covers, albums (anyone remember those great Molly Hatchet covers?), calendars, puzzles, posters, mugs, tee shirts…anywhere you could possibly put an image

Froud, Brian  Artist and writer specializing in portraits of fairies

Hildebrandt, Greg & Tim  Probably two of the best known fantasy artists out here. Renowned for their Tolkien illustrations, as well as the original Sword of Shannara trilogy covers

Maitz, Don  Prolific fantasy and sci fi artist whose work has appeared on books by Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, C.J. Cherryh, Raymond E. Feist, Allan Dean Foster, and Janny Wurts

Parkinson, Keith  One of the "new breed" of fantasy artists. Works have been featured on numerous David Eddings titles, among others

Rabinowitz, Alan  Sci fi and fantasy illustrator whose work has been featured in Dragon Magazine, the Magic:The Gathering Collectible Card game, and on novels by Anne McCaffrey and others

Royo, Luis  One of fantasy's "Big Three": Boris, Frank, and Luis. Known for his lush, erotic imagery, he is a perennial calendar favorite

Vallejo, Boris  The first name people think of when "fantasy art" is mentioned. More book covers than you can shake a stick at, plus an extensive catalog of merchandise including calendars, puzzles, tee shirts, books… you name it, there's a Boris print on it!

Whelan, Michael  Probably the best known and most prolific cover artist in the business. Look for his work on novels by Anne McCaffrey, Melanie Rawn, Michael Moorcock (no one does or did Elric like Whelan!) and many others. As a spec fic writer, you know you've arrived when you get a Whelan cover

Wu, Frank  Up-and-coming, Hugo-nominated artist whose work is featured in magazines like Fantastic Stories, Strange Horizons, and Talebones
