This is a magical journey worthy of many fans of the fantasy relm. Magic, swordplay, monsters, treachery, loyalty, and a Kingdom filled with colorful characters. Kristen paints and extrordinary picture with words and imagination. Karigan's journey through the Green Cloak, a large forest that surrounds the fertile lands of Sacordia, was full of adventure and kept me waiting to see what was next.
The story centers around Karigan, a suspended student attending Selium and daughter of the wealthiest merchant in all the lands. She comes to discover her real calling in life while realizing her talents really save her life when traveling through the Green Cloak, escaping assassins and strange creatures that were unleashed by the feared "Gray One." She ends up in a situation where she alone can save the King and finds the 'magic' within her to assist in defense of the King.
Kristen Britain takes the Fantasy relm to a new level with this entertaining novel that deserves a sequel published.
